Drive Names ?

I bought a PC from PC World (running XP), and the CD-RW was called CD-RW with an icon of the CD with the words CD-RW under neath,

I built another PC with XP also, but the CD-RW is called CD-Drive and the icon is just a standard CD... How can I change this please ?

Thanks,
Chris !

Go into Windows explorer from your start menu & click on the + sign by my computer then right click on the drive you want to rename & it`s as easy as that.

That i know of its not possible, atleast not "officially" possible. There may be a program that allows this change though. If you fine one let me know, id like to use it too.

I tried a proggy called "Microangelo 5.5" and right-clicked the drive, and clicked apperence and it said that "This version of Windows will not alow you to chage the drive icons or names, Microsoft know of this problem and will fix it" or something like that.

Just gotta look out for updates I think
