Will Existing 400 MHz FSB Intel Boards Support 533 MHz FSB Processor ?

I'm a little confused. It seems that the new BIOS upgrades for Intel boards (both OEM's like DELL & Intel retail) mention "support for new processors" on their detailed documentation ........ however, now I read about Intel introducing NEW chipsets (i850E) to support the new 533 FSB. What's going on here ? Can someone shed some light on this ?
I'm particularly interested about the future upgrade potentiial of i850 Intel boards.

Generally no, although some mobo makers may make it so.

If you're really talking an Intel-made board then absolutely not. Intel has a long history of making sure their motherboards don't work with CPU's that they aren't validated for. And since the i850 chipset isn't validated for 533FSB operation, you're screwed.
