like nipster said, no, but (and this is a BIG BUT).....

If you could get your hands on a engineering sample, then you would hvae an ulocked CPU. But you need to be a developer to do that. (or have some connections)... As good as an engineering sample would sound, it really is a mixed blessing as they are often beta silicon, not the best of overclockers.

Ever since AUG '98 intel has locked the multiplier completly on all Intel CPU's. So you can not raise or lower the multiplier. Some early PII's had multipliers that can be lowered...
have a PII 333 @ 400(133x3)...
I think the P-133 was the 1st chip Intel locked, as the 133 was often being remarked as 166's. As a result, many 133 are locked aswell.

But we always have the Front Side Bus to work with. And well all know incresing your FSB is the best way to make your computer faster. So we are not completly locked down.
