my dad is a jewelery teacher and we do a lot of copper enameling to clean the copper of everything and pickle it some we heat some type of acid and dip the copper once i make a block i plan on doing this to it i mean at least it will purify it and get all the oil from the flux of soliering and what came from your hands off of it.
 
hey

if anyone has done anything similar to this or knows what im talking about can you explain it to me im not exactly sure what type of acid is used or what it actually doe.
