Winbond Hardware Doctor, is it motherboard dependent? Where can I download it?

I have a mobo with a Winbond detector chip and I’d like to run Hardware Doctor but Gigabyte doesn’t provide the software on disc. I couldn’t get any joy from Gigabyte Web Site so I looked at Abit’s ftp site and noticed that they have multiple versions depending on which mobo you have. Is this normal and is it possible to download a generic version that will work with my Gigabyte GA-8SIML?

I know there are other products offering similar features but this query is just regarding the Winbond software okay.
