HP370 BIOS & Drivers

What combination are you guys using that has given you the best preformance? I'm using BIOS1.11.0402 + Driver1.12. Anybody using BIOS2.31 + Driver2.31 or with Driver2.0.1203? Has anybody tried using BIOS1.11.0402 with the newer 2.3+ drivers?

Personally, I've never gained any significant performance out of any BIOS or driver that HPT has supplied. Some have provided more BIOS options but none lead to any real performance gains.

I just always kept them up-to-date for the heck of it and let it be.

So you have used the 2.31 Drivers with the Older BIOS 1.11.0402? You see I'm not sure they are compatible & HPT says not to use them for the onboard HP370 but then Paul's FAQ says to use them but nobody says if you can mix & match BIOS revs & Driver revs.

I've mixed them before but I don't think it was that big a difference in BIOS and driver revisions. Only about 1-2 revisions for me. I'm using the next to latest HPT370A BIOS with a very old driver at the moment on my 8K7A+ but it's got really old drives in it and I wouldn't be able to tell a difference in it if there was one. The old drivers do work with a newer BIOS though.
