I know for sure it's newer, because there's no USB connector... anyway, what did Asus put in the holes? from another picture, it looks like it's filled up
 
There are circles where the holes should be and you can drill them out if needed. People have done this to mount Alpha heatsinks and water blocks. You'd have to ask Asus why they didn't put the holes in like everyone else. They were also the only ones to leave the USB components totally off the board. Of course the initial revisions only allowed the core voltage to be adjusted for CPU0 only. Plus they put in that nice C.O.P circuit and then decided to disable it by default in the BIOS. You gotta wonder what Asus was thinking when they designed the A7M266-D.
 
Only if you have the older Rev 1.03 I had. Anything Rev 1.04 or later will adjust both cores. Apparently after many complaints, they realized it makes no sense to adjust one CPU and not the other.
