Northwood 1,6GHZ & 2,66GHZ....temperature too high?

Hello,
I've got my woody running now with 2,66GHZ. It runs stable but the cpu gets about 50-60degrees.
I just bought the Swiftech MCX478 because I thought this would keep it about 40 degrees...but that isn't so..
Now I'm a bit worried if this temperature is too high and asking me how I can cool it down to 45-40 degrees as it was with 2,133GHZ..
Maybe someone may give me some help...

you definitely need water cooling to get 40c at that speed..

At 2.66 gig, my system (see signature) runs in the upper 40's (load CPU temp).

How much juice are you giving it?

Voltage

It gets 1,75V.

Those temps are a little high. Try reseating your hsf and reapplying some arctic silver.
