HELP! Leadtek Geforce2 problem

I'm trying to install a Leadtek geforce2 Mx200 graphics card in my system and can't get it set up. The techies haven't been much help, so I'm hoping one of the real pros here might be able to figure it out. I am running an Iwill kk266Plus motherboard with an AMD Athlong 1.2 GHZ processor in a windows XP environment. After the machine boots to the user logon screen, windows finds new hardware and recognizes the geforce card, but then the screen refreshes and leaves me with just a small square around the cursor and is frozen. Any suggestions on settings to correct this are appreciated

try booting in safe mode and to install the nvidia reference drivers instead. then you restart the system normally.
