Video problem need help..

My Epox board runs great,high FSB and all that,but I am not played any games with this board til now,Nascar 2002,and it works but the screen seems tight it isn't smooth like with my MSI board,I updated my drivers for my G Force 2 Ultra,but still the same.
I am using 256 Corsair 3000 set @ turbo settings,and 10X172 for FSB,what am I doing wrong,ive tryed 2 different vid cards with same results..

you can first load your bios default settings to check wether the card will work well or not. check also for stuff running in the background. if youre running XP or 2K you can check how loaded your cpu is before starting up the game - try out other games either because games always have issues they use to fix with patches later.
