okay when i play games, when a lot is going on in game, the sound sometimes gets stuck and repeats the sound that played last for a seconds and then gets back to normal.

i have a sound blaster live! value

I experience that from time to time. I don't think it is a problem with the sound card, but more the game/CD ROM. I think it has to do with occasional bad information from the CD, and the game getting momentarily "stuck" waiting for uncorrupted info from the CD.
But maybe someone else has a better explanation.

Your problem could be a million things. Most likely it is a slow or overburdened processor.

When gaming do you?

Turn off any outside apps that aren't needed.
Folding while gaming.
Chat using other software such as aim or im.
Have a system with fewer than 256 MB of ram.
Have a HD that hasn't been defragmented in the last 2 weeks.
Use music software to play music while gaming.
Play games in a crowded server.

If any of these are evident you most likely have found your problem.
