i oveclock my voodoo3 2000 but every time i start windows the voodoo tools tell me the card have been overclock what i have to do to stop that message for never coming out again

I believe that what you have to do is to open up the 3DFX controls program that you used to overclock the card in the first place and hit "Confirm Changes". If you don't confirm, it will always reset the card back to the factory defaults the next time you reboot- a safety net in case the computer locks up when you try and run it with the higher overclock. Hope this works for you! Hopefully yours will do better than mine... admittedly mine doesn't have any active cooling on the chip (other than a desk fan blowing over it), but I can't get it to run stably at anything over around 155 without locking up in UT after 3 or 4 games... methinks I should invest in a Borb- or mount the spare Pentium HSF I have to it....

mine did the same thing, but also had the check box that said "do not show this message again". Do you have it?

i got my voodoo 3 2000 to run at 180 Mhz with its standard heat sink and a 4cm by 4cm fan
rock solid never locked up ever. it made me wonnder if i was overclocking it at all

The easiest (or, more accurately, most common) way would be to run a video benchmarking program like 3DMark2000 or 3DMark2K1 with the card both at factory settings and at the full speed you can get it to. I can get mine to run 3DMark2000 at 180Mhz, but it locks almost instantly when I try and run UT with it there- I have to keep it down around 150 to be able to play UT for any period of time without it locking up. But then, I only have the original HS on the GPU with no fan (other than the small desk fan blowing into the case and aimed at the vid card). If I get adventurous this weekend, I'll see about adding some active cooling to it (it's not like I don't have more than a few old and crappy HSFs lying around) and see what I can do with it- maybe attach the stock HSF to a few of the RAM chips....
