new vid card


ok after frying my pny geforce 3 and now stuck using an old 4Mb 1x agp.......****ty i know ....just wondering what the best card out on the market now and what are the usual prices for them???

This doesn't completely answer your question, but if you've not seen this before, it'll gicve you a good idea of how they are currently stacking up.
If you've the cash to just go and buy the best, I envy you. It was a bit of a shock for me to see where my GF-2 Ti was on this list.

well there are always the gf4's which are of course great performers. here is a good comparrison's on the 4400 and 4600's... click

they are not cheap i can tell you that

also the gigabyte 8500 is a great option.. it is only $159 and jsut a great card. you won't be dissapointed with it i can tell you that!!!

so the ti4600 is the newest geforce otu right now??? i saw the leadtek was looking pretty nice any opinions??

leadteks are nice, but i've seen the PNY and visionteks without all that heatsink stuff on the memory perform better. Check out some reviews online. Or else you could always go with a gainward, theres a sale at newegg for 339

ouch ...so these prices going down at all???? maybe by the time i work enough to aford those somethign new will be out...looks like the 4Mb card will have to do for now

whast the big diff. betweeen the ti 4400 and the ti 4600??? only the clock speeds or what??

you really want to do yourself a favor get a 4200. they are highly overclockable- can just about reach the 4600 speeds and they are less than 200.

how much of a diff would i see between a gainward ti4200 between my old pny geforce 3 ti 200???? i dunno i just figured since im gonna be getting something new why not get somethign that will keep up to date for alittle???i dunno those cards that good (ti 4200) what kind of marks in 3dmark??

the 4200 is 15% faster than you Ti200...it is the best bang for buck right now...
