hey guys i have a geforce3 and i get a score of 6000 on 3dmark2001
and i see other people getting more then that with a geforce3 ti 200 is it better
at overclocking or what??

The Ti200 is the more modern version. the GF3 Timeline goes like this:

GF3>GF3Ti200>GF3Ti500

In terms of speed(slowest to fastest): GF3Ti200>GF3>GF3Ti500

Even though the GF3 is faster than the Ti200, it probably doesn't overclock as good

It also depends on what brand you get. I have a Jaton geforce 3Ti200 and the memory won't go past 440 without artifacts and the core only goes to 200. I bought a visiontek Geforce 3ti200 and it got to 220 core 500 mem without problems.

i just tested my visiontek geforce3 and only got it up to 225/485
before it crashed is there a way to get it higher? i got a score of 6026 on 3dmark2001 with 220/480

that's very true, it does depend on what brand is it, it seems so far that Gainward and LeadTek are the two best brands to get for overclocking..

I've seen many LeadTek cards get around 250/560+ and Gainward is also the same..

my Gainward does 275/580 and that's not when it's cold, just regular, and it's completely stock, it's been running like that right out of the box that I got back from Gainward(I had to RMA a bad card I got)

240/540 is about the limit for GF3, The Ti200 max is around 235/535

Alot of Ti200's can pass 235/535. My gainward is doing 245/545 and that's below average for it. Nimps has like ~260/565 on stock cooling and no vmods with a Gainward.

Just wait till I volt mod my board... I'm looking for 270/580, but who knows.

Gainwards are awsome cards, IMHO #1 brand for nVidia cards right now! They even RMA for overclocking!

That's good to hear! I was debating whether or not it would be worth the shipping costs of RMAing my MX440, but when I get home I'm gonna do it now! Now that I have the Ti200 I don't really know what to do with it, but it'll be nice to have around.

Then again they retail for $140 at CompUSA, so if I post a classified I might get like $125 for it. I think I'll do that.

so asus should make a good overclockable v-card?
what you look for is:
1.testimonial from members about their own experience with the card.
2. speed rateing of the memory on the card.
3. max speed of the same gpu from any of the geforce companys
4. hardware reviews that include oc testing

oh thanks for the info im getting a visiontek geforce4 ti4600 soon do you think i need to overclock that card? lol:D
