The people at PCekspert have a rather amazing article about the socket 775 “overclocking lock.”

The secret behind the lock is that there is no lock. Then how is this done? Go over and read the article.
The article does says that Albatron pretty much confirmed that this is the case.
Damn, this is sneaky.
We still don’t think you ought to touch Prescott, but this discovery looks to remove one killer mine from the path.
Problem is, it’s still a minefield.
