Overclockers.com GPU Testing Procedures (Updated 2018)
This article will serve as a reference for those who would like to compare results with our reviews, whether you are writing an article for the site or just testing the performance of your new GPU. The plan is to keep this article updated as changes in our testing procedures occur. On to the gritty details…
Vantec NexStar HX4R External HDD Enclosure
Looking at the title one can immediately notice this is not a CPU, GPU, or motherboard. Though it may resemble a coffee maker just a bit, it certain isn’t! All joking aside we have an External HDD enclosure from Vantec, the NexStar HX4R, to look at today. The enclosure offers several levels of RAID and the ability to hold up to four HDD’s and up to 16TB of data. Let’s take a closer look!
MSI N760 TF 2GD5/OC (GTX 760) Video Card Review
Here we are again folks, towards or at the end of a ‘new’ card series from NVIDIA. This time around, we will be reviewing MSI’s N760 TF 2GD5/OC. Otherwise known as GTX 760. This card, according to NVIDIA, is supposed to be a GTX 660 Ti replacement, and compete with the HD 7950. What is weird is that I always thought the 670 competes with the HD 7950, but their marketing has it performing well against a HD 7950. We will see what magic MSI has done to their version of the card, and as always, see how it stands up performance wise.
SanDisk Extreme II 240 GB SSD Review
Its been a while since I have had the opportunity to review an SSD, and never have I reviewed a SanDisk SSD before. Normally SanDisk tends to play in the OEM arena including laptops and such, but since their Extreme SSD and now, what we have for review, the SanDisk Extreme II, they are broadening their horizons and continuing their drive in to the performance segment. We will dissect the drive and see how it does against some more, familiar to the performance market, drives.
ASUS Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition DCII 2GB GPU Review
ASUS sent us a Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition DCII (or, if you prefer, ASUS HD7870-DC2-2GD5-V2) to test, and you my lucky readers get to see the results of this test. Of course there’ll be a number of pictures between there and here, as well as some specs and such. The DCII cooler promises to be 20% cooler and “Vastly quieter”. That’s a direct quote off the box, I find it vaguely amusing as it sounds like something I would write in a review! It’s also difficult to pin down exactly what “vastly” is, but I figure I can take a crack at it. To conclude this rather lengthy introduction, I will say that the testing process has been rather interesting. To find out what was so interesting you’re just going to have to read the review!
