G.Skill today announced the release of their new Ripjaws V and Trident Z series memory. Headlining this release is a Trident Z kit offering an impressive out of box speed of 4000 MHz. The Ripjaws V kits will be available in various capacities ranging from DDR4-2133 MHz up to DDR4-3733 MHz. The Trident Z series is also available in various capacities and starts at DDR4-2800 MHz and tops out with the DDR4-4000 MHz kit.
ASUS recently announced the release of their highly anticipated STRIX GTX 980 Ti graphics card, and we were lucky enough to snag a sample to review. The STRIX line of products are aimed at the gaming enthusiast and rapidly becoming an industry favorite for headphones, keyboards, graphics cards, etc. With this release, ASUS ups the ante with the introduction of their new DirectCU III cooler and a promise of even better cooling performance than before.
OCZ has put out some great SSD drives over the years. From high-end enthusiast drives in the Vertex and Vector lines to the smoking fast PCIe based Revo drives (and let me tell you, we are looking forward to the PCIe based NVME drives too!). OCZ also has their ‘bang for the buck’ line in the Agility and new Arc series. Now they have an even more price oriented line in the Trion 100 series. The Trion line of drives are a more ‘read performance oriented’ series versus write performance when compared to the Arc and other OCZ high-end enthusiast SSDs. SSD drives like this are good for a slew of things, but storage and gaming come to mind first as that’s a high read environment with minimal writes.
There isn’t a whole lot we can say about EVGA that most PC enthusiasts don’t already know. They have been NVIDIA’s top selling graphics card maker for quite a while now, which is no big surprise given their history of providing top notch products. NVIDIA’s recent GTX 980 Ti release gives EVGA another chance to show their wares, and they’ve done just that by rolling out their new GTX 980 Ti Classified ACX 2.0+.
