Today we’ll take a look at our first DDR4 LGA 1700 motherboard, the Biostar Z690A Valkyrie. This time around, we have the option of DDR4 or DDR5 boards but not both, so keep that in mind. Most manufacturers make it quite clear which memory works in their system, but there’s still an opportunity for mismatched hardware. Just be attentive when ordering parts for a new Alder Lake-based system.

Corsair Announces Dominator Platinum RGB DDR5 Memory

Corsair has just announced that its new Dominator Platinum RGB DDR5 memory kits can reach speeds of up to 6400 MHz. Compatible with Intel’s 12-Gen Core processors, the Dominator Platinum RGB DDR5 are sold ranging from 4800 MHz up to 6400 Mhz kits. Pricing starts around $335 for a 32 GB 4800 MHz set (not all prices listed yet) and can go as high as $670 for the 64 GB 6400 MHz kit. Corsair sells these directly through its website or you can find them at all retailers that normally carry Corsair products. AZZA Annouces OPUS 809 Open-Air ATX Chassis

Azza is known for making some of the most unique cases in the PC market. Today, Azza announced the OPUS 809 open-air ATX chassis and it doesn’t dissapoint. The OPUS 809 looks more like modern art than a PC case featuring two aluminum bands for the framework and tempered glass (can be positioned either vertically or horizontally). With support for up to 360 mm long triple-slot GPUs, a 360 mm radiator, and ATX power supplies, the OPUS 809 is a versatile and capable platform. The MP Halos Glacier One Black models will be available in 240, 280, and 360 mm versions. These coolers maintain the same features and performance as the original Glacier One cooler but are now available with Addressable RGB lighting on the fans. NVIDIA Releases GeForce Game Ready Driver 497.09 WHQL

Yesterday, Nvidia released its latest GeForce Game Ready Driver, 497.09 WHQL. This latest update includes support for ICARUS, Chorus, and Halo Infinite. Support for the soon-to-be-released GeForce RTX 2060 12GB graphics card is also added, confirming earlier rumors of the upgraded previous generation card. Six newly validated G-SYNC compatible displays are now available through this patch as well as support for GeForce Experience’s one-click optimal settings for five new games.
