One of our stops at CES 2017 led us to our friends at Mushkin and Edge. Mushkin showed off a new m.2 2280 PCIe 3.0 x4 SSD drive named, Helix. It uses a Silicon Motion SM2260 SSD controller using 3D MLC flash. This brings speeds of up to 2500MB reads and 1100MB writes along with 185K write IOPS. The 3D MLC NAND is going to give you more performance and endurance versus TLC based NAND. We should expect to see this drive hit the market in the coming months.
Next we saw a really cool little device named the Reactor WiFi. This device is a combination of WiFi router, 6000 mAh power bank, and storage (SSD, their Reactor line would be in it). Great for streaming movies, storing pictures, charging your phone, and serving your wifi needs. An impressive 3-in-1 little device!
Next we were shown the new Triactor 3D and Reactor Armor3D SSDs. Boasting SATA 6Gbps saturating speeds, 3D MLC for improved performance and endurance, as well as a mindblowing, for SSDs, up to 2TB capacity. Mushkin expects pricing to be extreme competitive, undercutting its rivals for the same capacities and speeds.
Mushkin, known for their Memory and SSDs, are now going to jump into the RGB LED keyboard market in with their Carbon KB-001. Features include its aircraft-grade anodized brushed aluminum finish, Kailh Brown Switches (50M cycles lifetime), anti-ghosting, 104 key rollover, and additional highlights listed below.
Stay tuned for more CES 2017 coverage as well as reviews of these items in the near future!
