CES 2022: Acer Announces Three Chromebooks and a Laptop

We begin our CES 2022 coverage with Acer’s three new Chromebooks and a special National Geographic Edition laptop. Known for budget-friendly products for those seeking the best bang for their buck, Acer continues this legacy with the Chromebook Spin 513, Chromebook 315, Chromebook 314, and Aspire Vero National Geographic Edition laptop.

Acer Chromebook Spin 513 — Sleek Design with Productivity-Boosting VertiView Display

With a svelte design and a durable aluminum case, the new Acer Chromebook Spin 513 (CP513-2H) is the ideal Chromebook to take on the go for school, passion projects, work, and more. Powered by the new super-fast MediaTek Kompanio 1380 processor with eight cores for enhanced multitasking, it lets users stay productive all day with exceptional performance and up to 10 hours of battery life. A productivity-boosting VertiView 13.5-inch display with a 3:2 aspect ratio gives users 18% more vertical screen space so they can see more content before needing to scroll. Acer Chromebook 314 — Budget-friendly and Portable with an OceanGlass Touchpad

Users can expect up to 10-hours of battery life, plenty long enough to make it through the entire school day, while Intel® Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) provides connectivity speeds up to 3x faster than Wi-Fi 5. Acer Aspire Vero National Geographic Edition

The original Aspire Vero’s look is defined by the material blend used in its chassis, which consists of 30% post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic and was carefully selected for its balance of durability, rigidity, and aesthetics. Yellow pigment dots contrast with this textured grey surface to give the laptop character. Opening the laptop reveals the iconic National Geographic yellow border, which has been printed directly onto the bottom right corner of the keyboard. In yellow print on the spacebar lies the message, “For Planet Earth.”

Powered by an 11th Gen Intel® Core™ processor with Intel® Iris® Xe graphics, the laptop’s lighter ecological footprint does not mean that it’s light on performance: It comfortably allows users to create, connect and collaborate. Users can enjoy Windows 11 right out of the box, while Wi-Fi 6 offers ultra-reliable connectivity. The user-experience is rounded out by a generous selection of ports, including USB Type-C and two USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports, one of which can be used to charge mobile devices even when the computer is turned off.  The Acer Aspire Vero National Geographic Edition (AV15-51R) will be available in France in March, starting at EUR 899; and in China in January, starting at RMB 5,499.
