Anti-Noise League or Anti-Noise Defamation League?
I know there are plenty of people who buy relatively cheap heatsinks with high-speed fans attached. They’re noisy, but they do the job well and cheaply.
There are also a good number of people who go up the wall due to the noise.
What we really don’t know is roughly what proportion of people belong to either camp.
So we ask the following:
1) What is your current processor, and at what speed do you run it?
2) What fan/heatsink did you initially use with it?
3) Are you still using it? If so, what do you think of it? What do you (and those around you) think of the noise coming from it?
4) If you not using the fan and/or the heatsink anymore, why not? What was the primary reason for you changing?
