Forum Wars is an online, team-based overclocking/benchmarking competition hosted by The Raptor Pit. Basically, each team is divided up into classes, based on hardware limitations. Classes compete against each other, and basically the team with the most winning classes wins the wars. There’s quite a bit of strategy involved in class placement, and we’ve got some guys on our team that are great at that. OC Forums is on quite an impressive winning streak, which we’d like to keep going.
Forum Wars rules can be found at the official rules page.
Some changes since the last Forum Wars:
Posting scores in the last few days will be allowed only at TRP.
Benchs are 3d03, 3d05, Super Pi 1m (with an OC bonus), GeekBench & wPrime 32.
Unlimited Xtreme & Limited Xtreme Classes are no more.
All Cooling options are allowed for all classes.
Windows 7 OS allowed.
TWKR & Guftown will not be allowed.
75% of all OC scores will need to verified before the Database closes and (ONLY) 25% can be entered during the last 3 days at TRP.
All players need to register to play .

Forum Wars isn’t about getting the best parts, most extreme cooling, and destroying your hardware all in the name of cranking out a few good benchmark scores. It’s actually more about tweaking your setup to squeeze out every ounce of performance you can. There’s a class for everyone, regardless of your budget and skill level. If you’d like to participate in Winter Warz 2010, see the Official Forum Wars 2010 Thread. You can post there, post here, or contact me if you have any questions.
