I apologize for the delay. I almost completely forgot about the Marathon until today. So we'll run it a bit into October.
This month as I have done previously we'll be doing HWBot X265 4K which is one of the subcategories for this year's Team Cup. This way the team can work on something we need and maybe one the subs here will be better than what we have. So let's get to it.

What: HWBot X265 4K
Who: any forum member
CPU: any CPU
Cooling: any cooling type
When: Ends: October 10, 12 Midnight EST
Background: Use supplied background
Download :HWBot X265 Rules
Full Competition Rules: Here
I would also like this format used at the top of your post please UserName/CPU/Cooling/ Score

You forgot because you had other MORE important things to do  Those reviews will not write themselves :)

FYI - The x265 4k bench hits the AVX units a-lot. This means that the bench will run at your AVX offset that you have set in BIOS. My CPU is set at 4.625GHz but ran the bench at 4.425GHz. IDK if AMD has a AVX offset or not :(
I ran this bench twice just to show that I found something interesting  First run is with 2x overkill = 20.93 and the 2nd run is regular = 19.447. Increasing the CPU 100MHz would result in a freeze, not sure if will help anyone else :)

Nope. Zen(+) was so weak in AVX it didn't matter. Zen 2 at stock, it will use more power than most things and you may hit power limit which will cause clocks to drop. If fixed clock overclocking, good luck with that.

Oh this one I like!!
It is right up my xeon alley!! Cnt wait to take some ryzen lunch money:D

Edit: 521 mb?! it may take a while. I'll need to go to Walmart for this..

I had my lunch money put aside for you Taco and ..... nothing. Now what am I going to do, here I was worried I'd lose my lunch money ....... :p

I'm thermally limited here. My scores went up as voltage went down. Need to get some water on it to see what this CPU will do...

I downloaded:D she's definitely struggling at defaults. I'll need to tweak my overclock a bit, because she's averaging 3-5 fps at the moment.
:bang head this is gonna be a long night.

Ps- she told me to enable HPET. Why?:fight: is it good or bad or both?

Enabling and using the improved timer (not necessarily HPET) is required if you want to submit to hwbot as it prevents potential cheating with fiddling clocks. Since we are using hwbot rules, you can enable it by running "bcdedit /set useplatformclock yes" as admin then rebooting for it to take effect.
