pretend you just won a million dollars, what hardware would you buy? include the screen and case :)

I think I might need 2 PSU's for this but assuming I don't =P

This will pretty much sum up what I would do if I had a ridiculus amount of money :p

2 mice and 2 keyboards. Wireless mouse and the G110 for LANs and the G9x and the G19 for regular use.

4 SSDs all in RAID0 for 2 terrabytes of SSD awesomeness.

I think I've covered everything I need :D

EDIT: It seems that clicking the picky won't make it bigger for me. To see it in full right mouse click it and click "View image"

Dell 30" monitor (x2)
Gulftown CPU
6 GB DDR3 2000 7-7-7-xx
4 120GB Vertex EX in R0
Some large b/u drive
2 HD 5870's
Corsair hX1000

Not exactly shooting for the stars, but will run anything I want at w/e settings I choose.

I would build again in a year or until I couldnt run anything as i wished. Just b/c I have a million cash, doesnt mean I need to spend it all or more of it upfront.

You image wont go to fullsize either, nor do I seem to have a view image when right clicking on it. Oh well. :)

i thought about the 1tb drives I should have added them my train of thought was 1TB SSD DRIVES? UH OH IT SCREAMS PROBLEMS... then again.. I'm rich.. if it breaks oh well. buy some more LOL.

I was really going to get silly and hook up some 20+ port hubs to the USB slots and hook up External SSDs to those :p

I'd do multiple computers rather then one big one.
All water cooled, with the coolant piped into my floor to keep my feet warm.

Then i'd spend it on my TR7.

This is a great thread... I often do this, right before bed time.... lol

You would get the top dog in everything...of course... And before you put the whole thing together, you'll need to get your case back from the gold plating plant... I have to have a 24K gold case...Inside and out!

Again, people think too small. I don't want it gold plated, I want it solid gold, then platinum plated with Flawless "D" diamonds as buttons and on top of all LEDs.

:)

Don't for get the spinners on the fans!!!

"And fans keep spinning every time I sleep."

>_>

balla.

You could build one hell of a folding farm.

I want to be able to lift it....and money left over so I can buy another house, in Florida...

1 million will not last long if the case were solid gold.... hahaha

lol! so many replys!!! love the ideas. and i agree u guys were thinkin too small at first >:).
remember..... a MILLION dollars u can ONLY spend on ur computer/computers. :D

Could you just make the computer out of the money you had for it? Then at a later date just blow it all over and have the money? I could think of quite a few things I would buy with 1m :D

Headstand's right, too small.....
Dual 1366 Board and 2 Gulftowns
A 160GB Drive for Boot, and a Fusion-IO for storage ( or 2 )
As many 5970s as I could stick in it
A LN2 plumbing system to keep it cooled in my custom machined case
Custom PCPower and Cooling PSU with exactly the right cable lengths and power system
A set of Dell 30"s for a wall ( something odd, like 5 or 7 or 9 so my crosshair is exactly in the middle of one )
A nice cascade system for all the GPUs
A HVAC'd server case for all the computer equipment
A CCIE equipment rack in my own telecom closet
FIOS' biggest plan.
For starters....
