My 1.33 Ghz Athlon is OC'ed to 1.4 Ghz. My average CPU temperature while surfing and whatnot is 44C. I have put the CPU under load for a couple of hours straight and only seen my temps get up to 46C. Does this sound acceptable? My case temp is 22C, which I find hard to believe because my room isn't even that cold!!

Well, that's a decent temp, I suppose, though I would wonder how you're getting it. If you're using the in-socket thermistor, I would doubt the validity of the temps..especially if you're also using the motherboard thermistor for case temps.

The best way to determine whether or not your computer is at an acceptable temperature is to see if it is stable. Stability == good temp.

The insocket thermistor is good if you wanna make sure you're not going to kill your chip...it should read not much higher than 60C...that gives a bit of a cushion to take into account variences in in-socket thermistors and the like.
