1.44 sized linux with ntfs read support

I have looked at a few already but none seem to be both floppy size AND ntfs compatable

Anyone have anything they would recomemened

Any linux floppy with a 2.6 kernel should be able to read ntfs as long as the option was set when the kernel was compiled.

If you can boot from a cd, you could use the System Rescue CD (http://www.sysresccd.org/) to copy files onto a floppy.

You could also make a DOS boot disk that can read ntfs:

the persmissions are getting in the way of the copy im hopeing that the linux disk doesnt care

im having trouble getting this to install with rawite from a dos promt

anyone have a known good *.img file for this.

That kind of question might be better in the M$ OS forum. I don't really know anything about writing images with DOS. You could use the other linux floppy distro you had. That should have a utility on it called dd which will do it.

just download a program called rawrite

point it to the img
point it to the drive
hit enter and it writes

thats what i used for the hal91 disk and it worked fine

but not so much with this other one

So try dd. That is the gold standard for image writing.

Did you download the .dos.zip file? That supposedly has instructions for creating the disk in dos/windows.
