nice overclock for air cooling.:D i was wondering what kind of video card you had to get that low of a score like that. with an 8500, you would be getting great scores with that kind of overclock. how stable is you system with your fsb at 175? i ask because i have a vapochill, and i will have my kingmax tomorrow, and i read that the kingmax would only do a max of 165, and at 175, holy cow, do you know what i would be at?:D
 
What is the temp of the room your system is in, what is the case temp, and what is you core voltage set to?

At 2.8 GHz your CPU is burning around 100W under max load. It's hard to envision an AVC Sunflower with a c/w of about 0.35 keeping the CPU to 55C max under those conditions. Doing the math, at 100W the temp differential would be 35C which would mean the air at the inlet to the Sunflower would have to be at 20C. Since the case would be probably 5C over room temp, your room temp has to be around 15C (59F for US residents). That's a pretty cool room.

I have a Sunflower with ASII on my P4 1.6A and it hits as high as 60C in Prime95 at 2.2 GHz with the core at 1.7V. When it gets that high, I either get rounding errors or a hardware failure message from Prime95. It only goes to 55C running Prime95 at 2.14 GHz with the core at 1.6V and doesn't fail. My case temp is around 25C, so it pretty much fits what the c/w model would expect. I'm getting an Alpha PAL8942 to get my temps under control, but am wondering what your secret is.

BTW, I have good airflow in my case, with a blow hole in the side and an additional 80mm exhast fan mounted in the top of the case.
 
room temp is about 72 to 75F (normal room temp)...the thing idles at 34c and 53 load when running prime95, its as stable as a rock, when runnig at 100% u can hear the fans tone down cause my 300w psu is not cutting it..and to think i dropped the chip when opening the package in excitement :D
 
awesome, did you do the v-pin mod to your cpu to get the v-core high enough to get that high? that is a sweet overclock. all of that with air.:D and for the pics, bump down the quaility of the pics to get em a little smaller, or resize them with paint shop pro.:D
 
1.85v but reads 1.82v on MBM when idle and 1.78volts on full load...i sucessfully got into windows at 2.94Ghz but would crash in plain ol' Internet Explorer...
 
What hdd do you have in that thing? Also, that score for MadOnion seems pretty low....I can get 5700+ with my GF2Ti with an AMD 1600+ at 1900+ with 155FSB. With yours at 176 with an intel should be smoking mine. What drivers do you have for it?
 
pcMark 2002 is a very flawed benchmark i would not trust its results...

am using some beta detanator drivers ..i really need to upgrade or something what detanator drivers is best for GF2ti? ...am new to nvidia
