So I am in the process of a new build with an I7 3930k. I am going to watercool my rig as soon as I get either a 680 or 690. If I only do a mild overclock on my I7 would you guys recommend 1 loop or 2? In my case I have room for 2 120x2 radiators.

I would recommend 1 loop because I believe it would be more than enough. You'd spend more if you did 2 loops and the 600 series (nivdia) uses much less power than the previous models and x2 120x2 would be enough for your i7+OC and a GTX 680 or let alone a GTX 690, the GTX 680 won't be as power hungry which in the end won't cause ridiculous amount of heat like the old ones did plus you'll have enough rad room. If I had the money I'd get rid of my 2 gtx 480s on air and add a gtx 680 to my loop with my cpu on just a 120.3 SR-1. You should be fine with the newer stuff coming out which is more energy efficent and in return cause less heat. The Gtx 690 will obviously be power hungry and cause more heat "obviously" but should be enough on x2 120.2 and if you wanna overclock everything a bit high just add another 120 rad but this is all speculation as we havn't seen the specs on the GTX 690. "Rumors" have a GTX 690, a card based on dual-GK104 gpu (GTX 680 x2).

P.S.- What case will you be using?

Silverstone TJ09. Thank you for the quick reply and insight. This is my first water cooled build so any knowledge is appreciated.

Oh wow:) Do me a favor. Head to the top of the water cooling forum. Open up the Ultimate sticky and read EVERYTHING inside. Should take you a few days to read it all then we will have more information for you. But you gotta do your part!

Lol read it twice before I posted this. I was ready to go with a single loop but wanted some reassurance. The sticky is an amazing piece of teaching for all of us first timers!!!!
