Has anyone upgraded to this bios for thier P3BF motherboard? If so maybe you could clear up a few things for me. I have installed this bios for my P3BF. In setup, under the advanced tab, where you select the cpu. I get only 3 choices.... manuel,600 and 400. The old bios that I had (version 1003) had many more choices.
Also the vcore voltage starts at 2.05 and goes up from there. Is'nt that to high for a PIII 850? The 1006 bios is supposed allow for the PIII 850.
Are these setup ranges right for version 1006?
I have tried asking these question to Asus tech support. But they never respond to any of my E-mails.
I sure hope that someone out there can shed some light on these questions for me.

All my questions have been answered. I have installed a PIII 850 onto my Asus P3BF. The 1006 bios sets the vcore voltage range to the proper 1.65 to just under 2.00, which is correct for the PIII 850. Also it selects the right cpu speed as per whatever cpu is installed.
