Ok guys the 120mm fan that came with my Corsair cool kit is way too loud. I really liked listening to that water sound while I was running the leaktest, but once i hooked up the panaflow that came with the actual thing it took away the nice water sound of the water hitting the res :(. SO WHAT should I replace this 120mm fan with so that I can hear that nice water sound.

BTW i'm thinking of a UV alternative since my case is gonna be lit up with 2x 12 inch uv cold cathodes

Consolidate your threads pls, if you can.

5v or 7v, if your not satisfied with that then a panaflo L1A or one of the alum fans would help.

what fan is that exactly?

on the molex, yellow is 12v and red is 5v. To get 7v you use the yellow as the positive lead and the red as the negative lead. Thus you end up with a voltage potential of 7v.

You should check out the brand new sticky in the vmodding section about 7v modding your fans. It is still very rough, but the information is there and I will update it when I can get some real pictures.

That should be a good fan at lower volts panflow would probibily be next.
If you had a ducal core system I might say a couple nexus.

Also, if you can hear the water itself in your loop, I would imagine there's air in it, which would be bad. That would bleed out over time, and the water noise shouldn't be there. Though there would be noise from the pump. If anyone has other experiences with that, let me know, but mine doesn't have any trickling sounds at least.
