128 or 64mb?

SO witch ti4200 should i get.Basically I want to know how much video card ram UT2k3 takes up, and how much doom3 will. Is t safe to go with the 64mb card and save about 40 bucks? Thnx.

I have not bought a new card in a couple of years
still got my leadtek GF2 ultra @ 300/500
BUT
i would have to say its like system memory get as much as you can afford
you cant have to much

yep. But couldnt i add system RAM to 512 mb or more and then raise the apperature (sp/) size?

Id tell you go 128 all the way. WIth the 256 cards out son, designers will promgram with at least 128 in mind, with 256 ideal. Im plannign on getting a 256 9500 when its out :p

I would think if you can afford it a 128MB card I can not, LOL nor am I that big a gamer, yet ;)) Doom III may change that, but I would think it will use a lot of memory, plus with Doom III, I think it might be prudent to get a card that is DirectX 9 compatible. Right?
