Can anyone recommend a good 133mhz FSB mobo for a SLOT 1 PIII 550e to be overclocked on? I wanna go to 733mhz and I don't wanna overclock my 440BX board, (because the AGP bus goes 178mhz @ 133mhz FSB and I don't wanna burn out my GeForce2 mx). Anyone have any recommendations?

Where are you getting 178MHz from? The BX chipset has a 2/3 divider available which would give you 89MHz AGP @ 133FSB.

My AGP is @ 89mhz, but x2 = 178mhz!

I'm still a little unclear here- the card sees the bus after being divided by 2/3, or 89MHz. The bus is only 133MHz to begin with, there is no 178MHz present on the board. If you mean 2x AGP as in sidebanding I still don't see an issue. If the video card is designed to handle 2x and doesn't get squirrely, and temperature isn't out of line it shouldn't be an issue. There are probably as many folks running 89MHz AGP on this forum as there are that aren't. If it was a major problem there would be topics about dead video cards all over.

133mhz on a BX would give you an agp speed of 88.88 or 89mhz. that 2X you're talking 'bout is the AGP transfer rate not the AGP bus speed. if that were the AGP bus speed then users who run 133mhz on their boards with AGP4X would be running their agp at 266Mhz. what the heck is that?

the BX is still the chipset to beat...be merry and run your 550E@733EB or higher on your BX. i had one and it works so great...rock solid.

Thanks for clearing that up...I kinda was confused myself there... =]
