I have one on the way as well. $59 is just too good of a deal to pass up..
This will be the processor I overclock the bajesus out of.

- I don't wanna toast my 2700+ , but at least now I'll have a good backup.. This is currently my ONLY CPU, so I gotta be gentle to it.

0319 good chips

i got this chip yesterday, installed it and it easily oclocked to 2.22 ghz and 2.3 ghz. Im still running a msi kt3 ultra2 so my fsb is limited. if i had a nforce2, i'd probably be able to do 2.4 ghz easy. temps are like 50-56c slk-800 probably that high because i have a slow 2200 rpm fan on it.
ANY ONE know how much a good fan will lower my temps to?

IF you get a good fan that will give you upwards of 50CFM i would say you could be in the 40's depending on your voltage.

On my SLK-800 with a Tt2 fan running a 1700 DLT 310W at 1.6v's I see about 2c over system temps at idle and about 6 -7c over system temps at full load...

As for the 319's...will see for myself...ordered one plus since they have the 92mm Tornado's on sale for 13.99...had to order one of them also...shipping was the same...

so to you a 1.1+Ghz OC is not that impressive...and the more I read about the 319's...not just from here either...they are topping the 310's...and are cheaper...

Also, quite a bunch of people are hitting 2.4 under 1.85v's...more like around 1.7-1.75v's...so if that is the case...then most should run around 2.5+ at around 1.8 or so on air...and if stuck in a prommie...no telling what the limit is...

To me that is pretty impressive for a 60.00 CPU concidering you are running a XP2100 and the 1700 319's are keeping right up with it and using a little less voltage...

And yes, I fully understand not every 319 is going to OC like that...but it really looks good when some people are ordering 3 to 5 of them and getting pretty much the same results from them all...

When did you order it?

And did you order this...

They have the regular 1700 on sale for the same price as the one above...

Here is the regular 1700 also...have to becareful when ordering...

I look at it this way also...if it is not a 310 or 319...then it goes back without it being opened...

They still have both, as you can see by the links above...just not sure what the regular 1700 is...it still could be 308's or even higher or lower...I just made sure to order directly from the 319 order page...

I totally agree, and to tell you the truth, you have a much better chance of getting a date code that will allow you to hit those speeds with the 1700...0307, 0310, 0319, etc...

The 2100's are much more inconsistent since there are many many more date codes that offer very little overclockability, and even the date codes that are supposed to overclock well sometimes do not (a lot more so than the 1700)

Sorry for the rant. ;)

Just curious Altec...what are your temps running your 307 (and what voltage) using the delta fan...I am getting a 92 Tornado for my 800, so I hope to see better then what I do now with the Tt2 fan I use...

At 2.5 I have to run a vcore of 1.875, and my temp is 51C idle, 57C load. This is a bit too high for my liking, so I usually run at 2.4 with a vcore of 1.8 (until I get watercooling) and my idle is 43C load 47C.

If you stick your head in those excalibur.com that will cost you more then 70 bucks for a 0310 X or W one. I've a 0310 W can reach 2.5 at 1.75 voltage used and i paid bout 55 bucks in computer show. So, 0310 and 0319 to me are same thing if you think bout they are less then 100mhz differnet. Also, o/cer always depending your board. If the board don't have much o/c proteint like those NF7-s or Epox did. Your result are no differnt.

For a AMD a 100Mhz increase is a big deal...and like I stated...if I can get a 1700 to run at 2.5 or so on air...then 60.00 to me is worth it...especially if I can get it to run stable at 1.7-1.75...even 1.8v's will be fine with my slk-800 and 92mm tornado...

And like I stated in another thread about the 319's...even if I can't get up to 2.5 and only get around 2.3+, that still leaves me with 2 2.3+Ghz Folding rigs for under 150.00...and to me that alone is worth the cost...

EDIT: Just got the email letting me know it was shipped...the CPU and fan will be here Friday...or should be...I will let you all know how well it does on a few different boards...a KT266A, KT333 and a NF2 board...
