That is weird that everyone says that about the WPMW. I have one, and it overclocks very well. Right now I am running it at a meager 2.2Ghz, with 1.65 volts on it just to be sure I have enough voltage, I am pretty sure it would do this speed at lower Vcore. But anyways, in a hot college dorm room with no AC, it is running 46ish under Prime95 load. I don't think this is ungodly hot for that Vcore and 31ish case temps really. I would think you would be well off with either chip to answer the OP, as long as your other components are up to snuff it should take you quite far.

at 1.65v you're no where near the point of diminishing returns where the heat adds up with little mhz increases
