these are the steppings i'm considering with the cheapest price i can find them at.
Newegg - $42. i think people are mostly getting DUTs
SVC - $60 for DLT, unsure of week.
Excaliber - $60 for DLT choice of 0302 or 0307. or $70 for 0310

basically, is it worth the extra $20 for DLT 0302s or 0307s? how much more of any overclock could i get compard to a DUT. and lastly, how much more of an overclock you guys think i could get out of a 0310 compared the 0302 and 0307.

i just need some guidance. i saw the poll/thread of the speeds people are getting with their 1700s, but there's no way of knowing what week they had and whether they had DLTs or DUTs... any help is greatly appreciated. thanks

I have a DLT3C JIUHB0307VPMW and I can push 2.5Ghz stably...but I do have rather high temps at that speed. I do think it is worth the $20 extra, but you are going to need a motherboard and ram to support insane speeds.

Just scan the CPU Database. No matter what, it looks like most do > 2.0ghz right out of the box, which is nothing to complain about. But I'd be curious to see what others have to say, as I'll be putting together a new comp soon, and I'm still not sure whether to go with a Barton2500 or a 1700.

oops, i forgot to mention my system:
8rda+ (going to get with the cpu)
256mb corsair xms pc3200 6-3-3-2
SK7 with TT smart fan 2.
64mb gf2 ultra OCed a little, can't remember off hand.

my hopes are to push the FSB up to around 200 or so, and bring the mutliplyer up to 11 or so. i'm leaning towards the $42 from newegg, i might get lucky and get a DLT!

With any of the DLT3C 1700's I would expect to get at least a 200Mhz FSB, and at least an 11x multiplier to go along with it. I think that if you are trying to save money, the 0307 will perform just as well, maybe better than the 0310...but it is your choice. Check my sig for my 0307 results.

I think you have the Excaliber's listed wrong. The 0302 & 0307 at Excaliber are DUT3C's. If that 307 was a DLT3C, it would be as good as the DLT3C 0310 they are selling and cost similar. IF it was me buying, i would buy the guarenteed week 0310 DLT3C from Excaliber. The 310's have proven themselves as being very excellent OCer's

Well I would just go for the go for the 2100 from newegg and be done with it. As for you getting a fsb of 200 unless you have the newer stepping a1-c1 on your northbridge chances are very slim that you will be able to get 200 fsb or more with out doing the vdd mod. Also if you get a 1700 you want have to go up to a 11x multiplier due to the fact that a 1700 run's 11 x 133 stock where as the 2100 run's 13 x 133. I myself have gotten 2x 2100's and am looking @ a 3rd both have done 2.3-2.4 the one in my rig now will do 2.45 but take's to much voltage. I'am also looking @ a barton 2500 due to the fact that a barton @ 2.0 is about the same as a xp @ 2.1.

oooh...so the 0307 and 0304s from excaliber being sold at $60 are the same ones being sold at newegg for $42 because they're both DUTs...

ok, then are weeks of DLTs the same? ie the one at svc for $60 vs the 0310 at excaliber for $70.

yep, i would go with a 310 rather than an 0308.

oh, and in the title it says dut,dlt.........

definatly go for DLT if your gonna o/c the s*** out of it.

yes, i wouldnt take a gamble with newegg. i didnt even think of newegg and i didnt even check there prices, cause i knew i wasnt ganna take a gamble and end up with a real bad one.

well i'm not sure about the stepping of the mobo.... but i'm gonna get the 8rda+ with my cpu, so i'm guessing it'll have the new stepping??

yes, i understand i will have to raise my multiplier, as i already stated that earlier.

anyway....

i'm not expecting a DLT from newegg. i'm just trying to figure out if the DLT is worth $20 more than the DUT. how many mhz increase are we talking here? 200-300mhz? if so, that's about 10mhz per dollar.... i understand that the DLTs run at at 1.5 versus the DUTs at 1.6, does that make it run cooler as well?

Can someone plz post the link to Excalibur's site? Unless of course they're not on the web.. I couldn't find them on Google..

Yes some of the tbred'a's are also DLT3C I would suggest getting a 2100'b from newegg or go with the 1700 form excaliberpc.
