I think the 1800's are very similar to the 1700's but arent as close to the center of the silicon sheet as the 1700's. the 17's are like next to the 2800 on the sheet, that is why they are so good. basically they are underclocked 2800's.

I think people just have'nt been getting the good 1800+'s. There's been alot of hype about the 1700's, resulting in big sales, and lots of experiences. For now my 1800+ seems great, I can easyly run it at 2.3ghz, but after that my cheopo cooling gives in. I have watercooling just waiting for me to through it in, and I'm convinced I'll hit 2.5ghz with ease. I heard of a couple of 2.5 - 2.6ghz results here in finland.

Don't underestimate them... :)

no idea. PLayed 3h (40Cmax temp) of generals last night. then this morning the my puter wouldn't boot. everything was stock and all other componensts still work. Too bad, I just got the proc about 1 week ago. will try to get new one

wow this is the second case of SADS with a 1700/1800 ive seen this month.

i had a 1800+ DLT3C, but took it back becasuse it maxed out at 2.2ghz, but that was with my old a7n8x board from which i can only give a 1.75v...

My XP1800+ DUT3C JIUHB0308 (black core) does 2465 Mhz with 2.05vcore.. cooled by TT Volcano 7+

Will post some new results when i get a new PSU and Waterchill.

My core was really shiny and slightly reddy blue when held to the light, never seen a black core before, pictures? :D

*edit* Actually 167 x 11.5, hmmm... im sure i set it to 166 in bios, strange!
