Well the computer restarted on itself after a 30 minutes of prime :-(

however it has been doing 1 hour and counting so far with 1.75v which still is very good seein how it is a 500mhz overclock.

I am hopin for 2.15 using 1.85v if it is reachable.

it is a tbred A and AIUGA is the best steppin by far for tbred A.

i got it from newegg for $75 of course the day after i ordered it they dropped the price to $69    but whatever it was worth the money!

Temps are around 43C load usually a little less tho cause it is only 1.75v

yeah sweet arse clocking, especially on air. what are ur temps? just making me want to buy all my parts already for my 1st amd system.

mine right now is around 45C load which isnt that bad.

well 2ghz with 1.75 is ROCK STABLE!

tomorrow i am gonna run 12.5x166 all day long to see if i indeed got a 2600+ for only $69 :D

well i dont know what my room temps are but my case temp is 24C

it is not freezing cold in here either i just have really good case flow it is i think 2C above ambient.

Well i am dissapointed. i tried to do 12.5x166 with 1.75v and it would not boot into windows. then, i tried 1.80v and it got a little further but immediatly crashed. it seems like the core is showing its limits. the worst thing is that because its a tbred the motherboard restricts the highest voltage to 1.8v

i am gonna vmod the board tomorrow and try to get it stable at 1.85v

i KNOW i will get atleast 2.1ghz when i get my water cooling rig up and do the vmod for 1.9v but that may be a week till it is fully operational.

tomorrow i am gonna try 12x170=2040mhz and see if that works

Well, I'm at the limits with the chip. Much like yours, something happens at the 2.0ghz mark, anything higher requires insane amount of voltage to accomplish (explains why the "B" revisions came about). I'm very please, the new cpu rocks at 2030mhz for only $25 more than I resold my AGOIA for. At 1.775v I might drop it back a hair if I can drop the voltage any lower. I will decide later, for now it's bedtime.

I have my watercooling setup going strong, keeps the diode temp at 60C under full load (which means roughly 50C if it was being read by a motherboard sensor). Case temp is 34C. I'm not getting any cooler performance from watercooling, but it sure is more quiet.

This is at 1.85 vcore.

well here is the deal.

My temps are too high right now to go any higher than 1.8v. I am getting 50C load and i am not going to vmod the board to get any higher until i have water cooling installed. Right now i am benching 12x169mhz (with enhance for benchmark on. what enhance for benchmark does (kx7 option only) is rather than having it 12x169.0 it does 12x169.8 so you get a higher clock).

now i am sure you will say, hey, that is 45C load, which is fine! However, this is the socket temp. When i had my palomino, i was able to hook up a compunurse to the side of the chip and relize that the socket temp is actually 5c colder than CPU really is. i could not hook up my compunurse on this Tbred cause the capacitators or whatever they are surrounding the core got in the way.

EDIT: DAMN! the computer rebooted itself after doing prime for 45mins. This could be because of temps but i bet it is because it needs more voltage. I am in desperate need of water lol. i am gonna do 12x167 now and up it 1 mhz at a time. i bet it will be stable at this but i doubt it will be at 12x168. we will see tho.

ok well i just set up my inline water and it is leak testing right now. if all goes well i will have this hooked up on tuesday (last time the thing leaked when i was installing it on the mobo after leak testin for only 1 day so i wanna make sure everything is good this time before i go and install it)

well anyways just like suspected 12x167 seems to be rock stable w/ 1.8v i am just gonna leave prime on all day tho till probably 10:00pm just to make 100% sure (i am goin out anyways soon so why not?)

Very nice overclock Pinky. The same thing happens with my AGOIA 1600+, for 2 GHz I need around 2.1V. 60C On-die really isn't that bad. Its easy to compare On-die as reading temps 10C higher then the insocket thermistor but often people see up to a 15C difference or even more when switching from a board with an inocket thermistor to On-die or vice versa.
