Well I gave it a shot thinking it was my ram playing me so I couldn't get a higher OC. Well from what I've tested its wrong :( must of hit the limit of the CPU.

Running at around 3.42 or so with 1.675 volts seems to be the limit using the 3:2 divider. Then running at around 3.3 (where i am) using the 5:4 divider seems to be a limit but I'm going to push higher.

The 2 stick types I'm using now are--

Corsair XMS PC3200 v1.1 (2x512MB)
HyperX PC3000 (2x512MB)

Right now running at 3.3 using the 5:4 divider with a nice 220FSB using 2.5-3-3-6 timings right now to make sure memory wasn't holding me back. Guess its time to play with some configurations to see what all I can get out of the chip.

Any commits or suggestions? Running at 2.8Vdimm (max for board), 1.6Vcore, and 1.6Vagp.

Well my current OC is thought to be messed up because of the use of 2 different breeds of ram. So far I have proved this to be true. Are you useing both at the same time?

No it wasn't at the same time. Even tried 1 stick at a time with really no go on preformance incrase over the other. Just running with all the sticks now in there because it works.

And hey can't complain about running 2Gigs in a system running at 220mhz now can I? Nope :D

Byebye swap file hehe.

No other mobo around to run it :( I'm poor now hehe well for at least a couple more weeks. Gotta love X-Mas.

Vcore is 1.525 stock just like all recent P4 chips. Older P4's (a's and b's) went around 1.475-1.55 volts core.

Maybe in another couple of weeks you can try it in my new mobo, thinking of giving up on the A64. At least untill I have a good reason to build a dual system and AMD figures out what they are doing with the 64 bit processors.

Ah ha staying with the Intel side of things :p I knew i'd get you to switch over for a little while hehehe.

BTW 1000+ Posts :p wahoo 7 stars

I'm interested to see what this L3 cache is all about.

Have a whole system priced for about $1800.

BTW working on it.

Well dang it Deathdude. I feel kind of bad because I recommended the HyperX PC3000. You know what you're doing and I'm sure you've thought of this already, but have you updated the BIOS? I'm using the 1.9 vesion and seem to have good luck with it. Also, what are your GAT settings? Always disable the last two settings. I generally use auto, auto, auto, disable, disable.

Well I should be updated to the latest Bios and the last 2 setting better be disabled because well it doesn't run at this speed with them enabled :)

Eh don't feel bad man, just when i get another P4 setup at least I got ram to play with to make sure its not that. Now at least I got 2 kick ares chip sets for ram. If not more ram never killed anything, just now i can really eliminated my Swap file hehe.

Edit: If you really feel sorry for me you can make a nice donation to the help Deathman fund :)
