I came cross these 2 new updates today and thought might share it w/ you.
The new Asus bios updater (11/05/06) and new PC probeII (11/17/06).
You might have seen both already and installed them, but I didnt come cross them till today after almost 3 weeks into this board and looking for all I can get for.
It's kind of screwy to find the download page for the "updater" since its 15 days old and is not on the "latest" page. Just click on the "tool" under "version" column (the PC ProbeII download description) and will take you to a blank page and then click on the "Latest" tab on top of the page will take you to both downloads. Asus has some retarded ways. Installation programs have 2 or 3 setup icons, zip files are duplicates, and now this latest update which took me a while to find and figure where the download pages where. Asrock does much better job than its parent company. I never had these kinds of problems w/ Asrock.
Anyways, below is the link to Asus's PC ProbeII download page:

I can't get that link to work. :(

I also had trouble updating the BIOS last night. I finally decided to go for the 1303 and Win Updater keeps telling me I don't have an ASUS board. What do you suppose is causing that ...?

As for the bios update: which way are you updating?

A) Using the Asus Update to find the bios via the internet then flash?

Or

B) Using the Asus Update and updating the bios with the file you downloaded?
*wow* Link works now! :)

B - But the updater errors out with "No ASUS motherboard detected" - it worked fine 4 months ago.
Then I d/l'ed the latest version to see if that would help - same error. I also tried going back to stock speeds ...

Dam, that's really odd  Well i'm glad the link works for you now :)
You know there's an option in the Asus Update that allows you to go back to your old bios, right? You try clearing cmos?

Haven't gone that far as yet - not sure I want to since this is sometimes a work machine, too. So far I'm fairly happy with the 1205 but I've got the SiImage turned off because of the RAID issues with it. Just wanted to do a little playing w/the external port but it's not worth all that ...
