We have some really big milestones this week but first:

We are still chasing EVGA (7.1 years) and NVIDIA is still holding us off with (1.5 weeks). We also have a new challenger in the form of Taiwan Team (7.2 years). There is a good chance that we will hold them off indefinitely if we either pick up our production or if they slack off. While I know that this is an obvious statement... well.... yeah. While our trending line is flat, we are well below our current average ppd. So clearly we have room to do better and since the Taiwan team just boosted production, we'll see how long they maintain this.

World top 100/200:
@HayesK #17
@WhitehawkEQ #29
@Holdolin #45
@HayesK #54
@dfonda #59

Top 200 includes @torin3 , @P4EE, @Farwalker2u , @orion456 , @Macaholic and @don256us . We also have a few folks near the top 200 too.

The team is down to 36 active folders. Average ppd is 14.9 million.
Top 20 are earning 1 million ppd or more.
Top 11 are earning 10 million ppd or more.
Top 7 are earning 20 million ppd or more.
Top 5 are earning 30 million ppd or more.
Top 4 are earning 40 million ppd or more.
Top 3 are earning 50 million ppd or more.
Top 2 are earning well over 70 million ppd.
Top one is earning over 180 million ppd and it's probably not who you think.

@HayesK has suffered a farming (folding farm) catastrophe with a promise to restart it when he can. In the meantime, the sub team of @folding monkeys have been churning out multiple millions of points every update. You have to take advantage of every opportunity there is to move up in the high end and our guys at the top are doing that. @WhitehawkEQ has his production going full steam ahead. I mean.... I don't think he's using steam. I don't know. Maybe he's way into steam punk but his farm seems to be at full capacity which is what we need to get back to our #1 slot.

Of the top teams, excluding "Default" and "Anonymous", I think we are the oldest team on the list. We are #32. banao is team #235980. LTT is #223518. Taiwan Team is #31403. The numbers are sequential and denote the order in which they were created. I don't know who founded our team but they did so well before it became cool.
Also, looking at active members, we have 36 active members. banano has 7,468. LTT has 812. Curecoin has 301. EVGA has dropped to 57. NVIDIA is the only team who has less than us with 17. To be fair though, they are a corporate team. They are pooling resources from within a single entity. No harm or foul but it is different than what we are doing.

The individual milestones are a bit crazy (good) this week.

@orion456 has earned 20 billion points.
@folding_monkeys have earned 8 billion.
@DeputyKovacs has earned 6 billion.
@BigBlockk has earned 6 billion.
@gulp35 has earned thier first BILLION! WOOT!

@Woomack has earned 900 million and will have his first billion within two days.

@ec052002 has earned 2 million.

Some really good milestones. Congratulations one and all.

Keep doing what you're doing and let's take NVIDIA's spot on the world ranking.

Until next week:
Build, Borg, Recruit.

Edit: I edited the title to give it more mystic or whatever. ;)

I think @WhitehawkEQ is using steam. He told me he powers his boiler with taco bell.

The monkeys are working adding another 25m PPD, but that is not enough to make up for @HayesK.

If anyone is on the fence about picking up a video card we have been purchasing 4070Ti's for 575 open box. Could be better deals to be had, but this is a really good value. Switching to Linux also adds some more efficiency. Its worth it if you have just a dedicated folding rig.

WTF everyone!

If a monkey writes up a "How to" on running fah, on Linux I am all in. I'll send Bananas.

and Congratz to the "stones mates.

Too bad Jenson scuttled plans for a couple 5000's. I can't justify 4000's at this point. It will be a couple weeks before I start gearing up. RMA was just received in CA.

The real reason is it will be a couple weeks till I can get the new PC set up so it is seamless for my wife. The old one (If a Z690 can be called old) gets moved to the man cave for dual GPU.

About Sept to churn out on the upstairs. My SIL should also start running 2 in a new PC I am building for them.

I tried so many times to install Mint and Ubuntu I could never get the F@H to work I must have tried 5 times then I said to hell with you.
Post magically merged:

It's honestly not THAT bad. If I can get a F@H rig running OpenSuse, anyone can get it running on a more friendly version.
@dfonda is asking @KeeperOfTheButch for a nice guide to get you & me folding on Linux again. It can be done! Just sayin :)
Been there done that!!!

Yeah but it's an us thing not a Linux thing. :cheers:

Have used Ubuntu over the last 15 years. And it's just recently and more of an Nvidia driver issue than anything else. Running folding at home on anything is not for the faint of heart.

Its definitely possible. There are a few tricks to get it working well. The monkeys will see if they can get a guide up for everyone.

Just got done installing Ubuntu on the 4th folding box. Only weird thing that happened was it randomly uninstalled the usb wireless stick. No clue as to why, lol. Guess thats linux.

I'll see if I can do a write up next week for you guys, maybe do a fresh install on my shop computer and take screenshots. We've got it down to a science. Was able to get my new rig up and running in like 30min. Spent countless hours getting the first one working though. Linux is a huge pita for sure, but once you have a process it's easy. I still have to mess with multi GPU overclocking but can reliably overclock one and control fans on multiples. Still need to test swapping Nvidia drivers, might be able to squeeze out more ppd. We've seen around 2m PPD increase per 4070 super and Ti going to Linux. Seems to benefit most on multi GPU rigs.

Tossed together a how to, it's extremely preliminary and I plan on adding a lot more detail and stuff this week but it's something incase any of you want to mess with it in the meantime:
