i heard somewhere that they are numbered beginning with 1 that is the closest to the center of the silicon sheet while being manufactured. duons at the end, 3200's usually at top. 1700's close to the 2800's. anyways, yours is probably got a lower number, meaning it is closer to the good part of that sheet.

by any chance, do you know the color of the core when it shines in the light?

dont take it out just to look at because of me.

I got this @ excaliberpc actually i got 2 of them just waiting on a new mobo to try out the second one

As far as I can remember it looked kinda purple , the one I am looking at right now is the sam color
