On the specification why doesnt it say Amd athlon and why doesnt my bios pick up that I have a amd 2500+ thanks in advance heres a pic

that happens to all mobile cpu's, my 2500 m does the same thing, the motherboard just doesnt recognize it properly because it's a mobile. I've tried editing the CPU name string in the Registry, and it works until reboot.
 
that's because on boot the bios reads the CPUID on the processor and renames the windows registry - it basically thinks that you've changed processors.

Don't worry about the Unknown CPU Type, everything will work the same. Basically, desktop core logics don't recognize the cpuids of mobile processors because they aren't made to be used with desktop systems obviously, so they just come up as unknown. It's strictly a name issue.
 
if it realy bothers you, you can always add in the microcode for it.
All you cbrom, i belive is the program you want. Then you will need to extract the code form a BIOS wih support for the CPU...
put it back into your BIOS and reflash...
Its done very simular to the way you update the RAID bios for onboard RAID or change the AWARD boot logo.
