Don't run your cpu that hot for too long. Play a game like BF3 or whatever you play, see what your max temps are. Personally, I don't go over 75C while stress testing. I don't think it's worth the risk.

Max temps so far after spending the past hour on a 24/7 metro server (thought it would test the processor the most realistically compared to Prime95) and max temps is 74 on one core and 70 on the rest so it looks like I'm good!

Still higher than what I would like, but that's bad. Try lowering your vcore as low as possible for the best temps. Make sure you are stable.

It seems to have settled a bit overnight, now idling at 28c and maxing out at 68 in BF 3.

Also, is 3417.6 a good Passmark scale? I don't really have anything to compare it to lol.

This is standard when reapplying TIM, it takes a while to cure and reach its full thermal conductivity. Some take more time than others and the difference between uncured and cured is more pronounced.

My 3 & 4 sig rigs (both [email protected] on H50s in exhaust) both have load and gaming temps nearly exactly what you quoted above. Mid-70s while folding. This is at about 70F ambient

Good to hear!

For added insurance, I purhcased 2 Ultra Kaze 3k fans for cooling.

Will ONE of those fans be more efficient than my current push/pull setup (stock fan with one 1200 RPM fan)? Depending on the noise, I will be willing to put both of them on it.

Compared to what you're hearing right now with the fans you have, one ultra kaze at full speed will be ridiculously loud. Two, you'd probably just fall out laughing soon as they started up. Seriously. I had a ~3500rpm delta and thats what I did. It's still in the closet :p

You really do not need fans of that magnitude, but yes they will lower your temps. If you like to coexist peacefully with your machine though, have a very good fan controller on hand because they pull some load.

One will definitely flow more air than both the fans you have currently.

It may also not fit in your case in push/pull, as those fans are 38mm thick vice the standard 25mm. YMMV of course though. To check, just take another 25mm fan and place it on the inside. If that fits, the two 38mm will fit, as they end up being about 25mm wider than the two fans you have.

IMO it's definitely not worth the noise, but that's up to you.

I understand they are incredibly loud, I was ultimately planning on just one and keeping the second for backup. Room shouldn't be a problem since if I can fit to 25mm fans plus the radiator, I should be able to fit one 38mm and the radiator.

Just to double check, How was your H60 installed regarding the two power inputs for the fan and the pump? Is the fan plugged into the 'CPU FAN' 4-pin on the Mobo? and is the Pump plugged in on another 4-pin header?

Last question - Whichever the pump is plugged into, preferrably a chassis fan header position or directly into the PSU which is preferred, have you disabled any fan speed controls so it runs at 100% all the time?
