Hey all, What's everyone's oppinion on this:

I have an unlocked XP 2800+ Barton, that is currently doing 2.36 with 1.76V. It's at 39 degrees load with water cooling.

Would it be worth it to go to a 45w 2600M? I know I can get the 2800 to go a little further, but I think I am getting pretty close to the wall with it. I can get the 2600M from a local shop for $156 cdn. Idunoo of there are better deals to be had than this, but I would think there are.

What do you think I could get for my 2800? (don't make an offer or anything, this isn's the classifieds, I just want to know what people think it is worth)

Do you think it is worth the cost to get maby and extra 100-300 mhz?

Your running a unlocked 2800 at 1.76 volts on watercooling?

I would push the voltage waaaay further then that on watercooling and get way higher overclocks...

yea, I think I will, I just need to put on some mosfet heatsinks. The voltage is actually set to 1.825 in the bios, but at load it is actually only 1.76-1.77

man you got an unlocked 2800? thats awesome, to bad it seeems to be sucking? mine does 1.8v almost 2.5ghz on air. load temps 46C and its locked, what multi you using? you may wanna consider a volt mod, if that chip is anything like mine you could hit 2.8+ghz with water.

You might see an improvement with a mobile, but it wont be huge. My chip was a gem, 200x12.5 @ 1.65v, but most take 1.7v to get there.

Hmm... 2.3? Well, my 2400+M took 2.0Vcore to hit 2500mhz, but I just got my 2600+M IQYHA 0352 RPMW, supposedly the uber one on dfi-street, and can't wait to see how it does :D

You may only get 2500mhz, yet you may end up with a 2.8ghz chip :D

well i guess i will wait and see what my 2800 can really do. I need to cool the mosfets and cool a few other things before I really start to push it, but with a new chip only costing ~150 cdn, i won't be nearly as worried about frying my 2800.
