2800+ pre week 39 help

I found one 2800+ that is pre week 39 but since that at the time I didn't really know how to see the date I thought it was 31 but when i got home I checked online and now I know it is before week 20 because it starts like this 031 and i don't remenber the last number so will it be as good as the newer ones.

Thanks

Try in the AMD sub forum next time ;)

Anyways, some older weeks are good. In fact you want to have a pre week 39 becuase at the moment anything newer than week 39 has a locked multiplier and they messed with it inside so ATM, it cant be unlocked. In fact some of the older weeks are good. I know that with the 1800's week 32 was a good week, with the 1700's some of the BEST weeks were 0310, week 10 and week 07. I hope that helps some. Im not familiar with the 2800's but I would assume that a week 10 1700 and a week 10 2800 would perform well becuase on the silicon tube that they make the cores out of, I heard that the 1700's are right next to the 2800's. Also, the closer to the middle of the slice out of the tube they are the better they are in overclocking and stability. That is why AMD saves the center for the higher performing models. It just happened to be that the 1700's and 1800 DLT3c's where in close to the 2800's.

I hope that helps some
