Actually it doesn't matter how many stars a member has, if the person knows the forums rules and does post accordingly even a 1 star member can comment. Also hearing it from a mod wouldn't be THAT good, they have better things to do and I think, and also believe most people will agree that cmdrjay's post was in place. Offensive language to anyone in the forums is strictly forbidden and I've seen many members getting banned.
I like hanging out in the forums not only coz its full of useful info, but also because the people here are nice and friendly, and I don't see flames all over the place as I've seen in other forums.
I don't think that this thread should be converted into a flame war or whatever. just posting my own opinion about this.

I'd, although it hurts to say, would go for and Intel system if I had an unlimited budget, but if the friend still wants an AMD then I won't argue with him too much, its his own choice, and you can't really go wrong by going with either company. if you go Intel (best they have) you end up spending an arm and a leg, but getting the fastest. by going AMD you save a bunch of cash, although you don't get the FASTEST there is I still believe a high end AMD system will suit his needs pretty well. Maybe even leave some money to get some mod or something cool for his new car.

This thread has escalated well beyond the scope of a "healthy debate", the fact that this topic is AMD CPU's not "DEBATES" not withstanding.

If this thread was IN "Debates", the actions I am about to undertake would still be carried out.

Suffice to say, for the time being, at least, this thread is closed.

As to hearing this from a Mod, it doesn't matter. This member was simply reminding you of the rules to which you agreed when you registered here. If you care not to follow rules, suggestions or just generally want to be rude and beligerent.........let me know. I can show ya where the door is
