3770k & Asrock Z77 Extreme 4 Multiplier Stuck at 39

Hello Everybody I really need some insight here. I attempted overclocking a while ago on my 3770k and my asrock z77 extreme 4 with bios 2.8. It worked ok, but at 4.4 I found my overclock unstable so I just stuck it at stock and figured I would get back to it at another time. Well now I am trying to overclock again, but I cannot increase my multiplier past 39. If I type in 40-xx it just reverts it to 39. I have seen others with this issue and they seemed to have no luck with their issue. Does anyone know how to fix this. I can provide any other information.
