In my earlier post I was complaining about on getting 9400 in 3dmark01, well I ran 3dmark03 and got 3652, this are both at stock speeds for the cpu/gpu. I think this is a pretty good 3dmark03 score. Would you guys agree?

Also I think I read that 3dmark03 is a-lot less dependant on cpu/ram etc and tests just the gpu more, is this true?

I run a 1.7 p-4 willy with 512 of pc800..

i would expect your 3dmark01 to be a little higher...but your 3dmark03 is respectable for your card

SlipperyToy you have a Helluva lot faster computer than StillLife has...that explains your difference in 3dmark01 scores...and he was asking about his 3dmark03 scores...not his 01's

I got about 1100 in 01, and just about 4000 in 03 on an 2.1ghz AthlonXP with 640MB RAM at a 133FSB, with the card at stock speeds...so yea, your 03 score is alright, but your 01 could use some work...

his 03's are good because 03 depends more on the card while 01 benchmarks more of the actual system.

Those 3DMark01 numbers look pretty good to me for a Willy 1.7 system, they're prolly up that high cuz he has RDRAM. I had a 9500np that broke 14.000 in my main rig (see sig) but it barely brakes 6.000 in our Willy 1.7 SDRAM rig.

I managed this in 03:
4348
Date: 2003-12-18
CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) XP/MP/4 2429 MHz
GPU: ATI RADEON 9600 Series (9600XT)
549 MHz / 351 MHz
OS: Microsoft Windows XP
Res: 1024x768@32 bit

and in 2001SE:
14167
Date: 2003-12-18
CPU: Unknown 2429 MHz
GPU: ATI RADEON 9600 Series
OS: Microsoft Windows XP
Res: 1024x768 32bit

The 9600XT has alot of potential, but you got to tweak the hell out of the memory as best you can since it has 4 pipelines.

Thanks for the info guys! I am not ready to OC the card yet. So I am happy with stock speeds and performance..

Well there's no way I could pass up an opportunity to brag about my 3dmark scores:

Im getting a new powersupply soon (my current one can hardly handle my setup with it's 300 no-name watts) so that should aid the effort a bit.
