If you have the money then yes, but you would be hard pushed to notice that much difference in my opinion.

How big of an area do you have to set up your surround sound it? That is one thing that I have noticed with surround sound is that the more speakers, the more area needed to get the true potential of the sound?

As of now, there isn't many games with built-in support for 5.1 sound. With alittle rigging you can get 5.1 to work in games, but it won't truely sound like it was made for 5.1. But alot of the new games being developed now will be supporting it, and eventually it will become more of a standard feature. For right now it's still at the novelty level, unless you play DVDs on your computer exclusively.
