i have been told that intel has started remaking the
440bx chip mobo and that they have made a few
tweaks .
and they are now calling it the 845i chip
intel realized it was the best chip they ever made
and have started making it again.

Hmm. Interesting. AFAIK, the i845 is for the P4. If it's an updated i440BX, we'll know soon enough. If so, it's about FREAKIN' time!

first off! i totally agree.
he said that it is for the new p4 1.7 ghz tualitin
processor.
since intel was having so much problems with the
i850 chipset.
intel would be foolish to start producing a old chipset
again.

This isn't true. Intel is not one to revert to an old chip like this. The only time they did was when the original celeron crapped out and they brought back the pentium as a budget chip at speeds of 233-300mhz.
the 845 is a p4 chip and it is a new design, it is intended for sdram which means either sdr ram or ddr.
